A slightly grating voice on top of some slightly grating music.
Singer, Laura-Mary Carter, sounds like she’s whinging all the way through this album, and it gets quite old, quite fast. To begin with, I think ‘This is a new sound, this could be quite interesting’ but quickly realise that it’s new and annoying.
Whining and wailing her way through the songs, accompanied by Steven Ansell, whom has a far less irritating voice, what at first seems like an interesting album, plummets through mediocrity and ends up, slumped in a heap under the poor category.
I much prefer the songs with the singing lead by Anstell, and these are the ones that I can enjoy, whereas all of the songs lead by Carter, I find quite unlistenable.
The songs ADHD is the best on the album, and contains large amounts of both singers.
Listen to this album: On an exercise bike.
